Complaints & Content Removal
How to report content, request removal, and appeal a decision — with a seven-day answer, guaranteed.
Effective July 7, 2026 · Operated by [Legal entity — to be completed] ("DuoText", "we", "us").
1. How to complain or report
- In the app: every piece of content, message, and profile carries a Report action.
- Without an account: email support@duotext.com with a link to (or description of) the content. Anyone can report — you do not need to be a user.
- Reports of illegal content are triaged first, around the clock.
2. What happens next — the 7-day guarantee
Every complaint is acknowledged, investigated by a human reviewer, and resolved within seven (7) days of receipt. We may disable or remove content while a report of potentially unlawful or non-consensual material is under review. If we need more information we ask within the same window; the clock does not restart. You can ask for the status or outcome of your complaint at any time on the same thread or email address you reported from.
3. If you appear in content — removal on demand
If you are depicted in intimate content and did not consent, or you withdraw your consent, use our dedicated removal request form at /remove-content — it works without an account, and removal requests filed there are handled on a statutory 48-hour clock (faster than the general 7-day complaint window). You can also email support@duotext.com with enough detail to identify the content and to verify you are the person depicted (we never reuse this proof for anything else). For intimate imagery shared without consent you can additionally use NCMEC's Take It Down service.
4. Appeals
If your content was removed or your account was restricted, you can appeal from the notification you received or by email. Appeals are reviewed by someone other than the original decision-maker and answered within seven days. If new evidence appears later, you can appeal again.
5. Disagreements about money
Billing complaints follow the same channel and the same seven-day clock. Eligible purchases also carry a self-serve "Request refund" action on the receipt (see the Terms, §6).
6. Escalation
If you are unsatisfied with the outcome you may escalate to your consumer-protection authority or, for payment matters, your card issuer. Where the law of your country provides a specific out-of-court dispute mechanism, we participate as required.
