DuoText responds expeditiously to copyright infringement notices that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Much of the piracy we see targets our own creators — we also proactively issue takedowns on their behalf when they enable leak protection.

Send notices to our designated agent (mirrored with the U.S. Copyright Office registration):

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
• The URL(s) or other identification of the infringing material, precise enough for us to find it.
• Your name, address, telephone number, and email.
• A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

On a valid notice we remove or disable access to the material, notify the uploader, and record the strike.

If your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice with: identification of the removed material and where it appeared; your name, address, and phone; a statement under penalty of perjury of good-faith belief the removal was a mistake; consent to the jurisdiction of your federal district court (or ours, if outside the U.S.); and your signature. Unless the claimant files a court action, we restore the material in 10–14 business days.

Accounts that accumulate copyright strikes are terminated. Uploading known-pirated creator content is also an Acceptable Use violation and can lead to immediate termination on the first offense.

Knowingly false notices or counter-notices carry liability for damages, costs, and attorneys' fees under 17 U.S.C. §512(f). Do not use this process to censor lawful content or to harass creators.
